2400. Summary and Index for the Last 99 Posts

The last 99 posts included 25 posts on climate change and related issues, 14 on science, 13 posts dealing with ecosocialism and socialism, 8 posts on ecological/environmental issues (other than climate change), 10 posts dealing with capitalism and imperialism, 6 posts were on energy, 6 on history, including economic history of capitalism, and 6 posts on Cuba.

OPITW now has passed the 400,000 “hits” mark.  Since my last communication the most popular post was the review essay of Jason W. Moore’s “Capitalism in the Web of Life,” no doubt because of the interest and controversy the book has generated. Together with 540 “hits” at the end of July on Capitalism & Climate: An Ecosocialist Journal  that reposted the review, there has been over 1,600 instances when someone viewed it (who knows how many actually read it!).  The traffic on OPITW was especially heavy during this past few weeks with several thousands of visitors daily.

Part of this progress is due to readers like you who take an interest in OPITW. I began OPITW in April 2009 as my "personal journal" recording my study of ecological socialism and related issues.  But readers like you have contributed their own or other articles most of which I post.  Spread the word, and continue to contribute articles and ideas.  Thank you!
